Permanent diaconate

On Sunday, 6^th October Bishop McAreavey took part in the ordination in St Peter’s church, Lurgan, of Kevin Devine and Gerry Heaney as permanent deacons. "
I congratulate Kevin and Gerry on their ordination. I would like to express my appreciation of all who took part in the liturgy, which was both moving and uplifting. I thank also those from Armagh and Dromore who took part in the formation programme, in particular Deacon Frank Rice, our director for the Permanent Diaconate"
