Financial and Compliance Officer

The Trustees of the Diocese are seeking to appoint a qualified accountant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial controls and reporting systems of the Diocese. This will include the preparation of management accounts and budgets for the diocese; ensuring that the diocese and its parishes are in compliance with diocesan guidelines and statutory requirements; and reporting to the Diocesan Finance Committee and the Trustees on a periodic basis. You will also be expected to work closely with parish staff on various aspects of parish administration.

An understanding of both accounting and law applicable to Charities will be an advantage.

This is a permanent part-time post (approx. 20 hrs/wk) and salary will be negotiable depending on experience.
