Swine Flu

Parishioners are reminded of good hygiene practice-particularly with respect to the spread of germs by coughing. If anyone has flu-like symptoms they should stay at home, advise their GP and not attend Mass. The obligation to attend Sunday Mass does not apply in cases of sickness. Please take used tissues home with you for disposal.
The sign of peace will be suspended for the duration of the health concern.
Parishioners are urged to receive Holy Communion only in the hand in the light of the present circumstances.
Parents are asked to show children how to receive in the hand. This will be a good time to explain why reverence for the Eucharist is important.
Hand hygiene gel will be used by the priest before and after each Mass and also by the Ministers of Holy Communion before and after the distribution of the Blessed Sacrament.
