Our display for St. Patrick's Day includes a 'staff', shamrock, moss, snakes, a picture of St. Patrick and a painting of a deer, reminding us of the beautiful song 'The Deer's Cry'. Legend tells us that Patrick and his followers were fleeing from the Druids, reciting the prayer for protection. When the Druids caught up with them, all they saw was a herd of deer. The painting in the display was created by Linda Savage.
