St. John's Church, Giilford.
The magnificent crucifix at the entrance to St. John's Church has been beautifully restored over the summer months. The crucifix, in situ since Holy Year 1935, was in very bad repair and local artist Bruce White has done an amazing job on it. Bruce has replaced the missing right hand, repaired the left hand, sanded the iron cross, rust proofed it and gave it a 'wooden' effect finish.
Last year, Bruce repaired some crib figures in Laurencetown and Gilford and earlier this year fixed St. Brigid in Laurencetown after she had a nasty fall!!!A very talented artist.
