You may remember this time last year, Sr. Bernadette contacted us about the plight of a family from Malawi and, with the help of ongoing donations from the Education for Life supporters, help was given. A little earlier this year, an anonymous donation of £300 was given for the specific intention of helping this family with a pig farm. The donation was sent directly to Fr. Zane, a friend of Sr. Bernadette who deals directly with this family.
Below, you can read for yourselves all the relative correspondence and photos.
From Fr. Zane Dear Catherine
Thank you for your email. The money has come through to the parish account and I will be in touch with Sr Bernadette about the best time to transfer it to the Chipoyas in Malawi. Please would you extend my and Sr Bernadette’s thanks to the donor for their generosity to the Chipoya family. This is a wonderful investment in a very beautiful family. I will ask the Chipoyas for some photos which we can forward to you. God bless, Fr Zane
From the Chipoya Family
THE PEACE OF OUR LORD JESUS BE WITH YOU ALL Dear Brethren, I would like to write to you (on behalf of my family) to show gratitude and, thank you so much for all your assistance towards the farming. We really want to do farming as we started already. We volunteered to work together towards building the pig house, which takes long to finish as we are not professional, but we did it. Very soon I will introduce to you new members of this family. All this is happening through acts of your love and kindness, I love you all.
Life it’s so extremely tough here especially during this time (epidemic of Covid 19). We are very happy and thankful that you have given us a big hope, to be the witness of God’s love in action. Below is a picture of us with a new build pig house,
Lastly the warm regards from me, my wife, my daughter, and my two sons. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Yours faithfully, Davie, Tomanza, Irene, Delvin and Arthur.
Below are the photos of the family with their new piggery!
