New Year Greetings from Sr. Bernadette
Dear Fr Des and Parishioners

As a New Years signals us to begin again it is my hope and prayer for each of you, in the words of Joyce Rupp:

‘That you find meaning, purpose, and vitality in what you do daily. That you find adventure in each new day and marvel at the wonders of creation which constantly present themselves to you.’

The change and nature of my work over the past four years has given me a global experience but also one at a local level too, as I accompany our young Irish adults in their desire to engage in a new initiative called ‘Mission Ignite.’

This initiative offers young adults, 18 years and older, the opportunity to volunteer for a short time in Africa, Asia, or Latin America in diverse fields of education, health, pastoral and social work among the poor. So far, the interest shown by our young adults has been very encouraging and hopeful. Should you be interested to embark on such an experience please do contact Fr Des or Mary Mc Cann.

May the Lord bless and protect each of you and your families. My thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones in 2023 with the sure hope that their memories will carry you through the years ahead.
