VERITAS has organised an introduction to the New Catechism, the guide book and a programme that could be run in parishes. Brendan O’Reilly (formerly of Veritas) and Elaine Mahon (Veritas) will speak. Brendan spoke to the clergy of the diocese in Dromantine about two years ago about adult faith formation and, in particular, on Share the Good News: National directory for Catechesis in Ireland.

This introduction will take place on Monday 30^th June at 6.30 pm in Newry Parish Centre. You are welcome to attend this function and to bring interested people from your parish. I do hope you will be able to come or have some people from your parish attend.

Given the commitment of the diocese to Adult Faith Formation, it would be great if from September groups around the diocese might begin a programme on aspects of the Catholic faith. The Catechism has been prepared to be a resource for adults in Ireland.
