KAIROS IRELAND.
That justice and peace might embrace (Psalm 85:10). A call to Ireland from Palestinian Christians.
The Promised Land is a divine metaphor not a place: a metaphor for freedom and a spiritual place where people yearn to Explore the Theology that underpins the Occupation.
Kairos Ireland will hold a theology workshop on Friday 13th September 2019 [morning or afternoon] in Dublin. Venue to be confirmed.
The workshop begins with welcome and introductions of a Panel of Speakers who will address these theological issues, the Battle of Narratives and the biblical verses that need to be looked at again in the light of how they are used on the ground to take land without agreement from local people.
Active dialogue between the panel and participants will tease out the issues.
THE PANEL OF SPEAKERS includes;
Rifat Odeh Kassis, a founding member and Director of Kairos Palestine.
Rabbi Mark Braverman, an American clinical psychologist and a consultant in
organisational change and workplace conflict.
Rev Brian Brown, a Methodist minister who came to England as a refugee from apartheid South Africa in 1978. Workshop fee: €20. For further information visit ww.kairosireland.org
