As part of the ongoing celebrations for Brigid 500, Archbishop Eamon Martin has extended an invitation to the women who are involved in the life of our parish - as employees, in liturgical ministries, in altar or apostolic societies, or as members of various committees - to attend Mass in Armagh Cathredral on Monday 22nd July at 7.00pm
So, we extend this invation of all of our women who are readers, eucharistic ministers, on church altar society, choirs etc.
This Mass, on the Feast of Mary Magdalen, will mark the great contribution of women to the current life of our diocese. Sr Briege from the Poor Clare Convent in Faughart to offer a reflection during the Mass.
“The vibrancy of our faith and Church in the future depends on the continued involvement of women such as these, and for that to happen we must fully acknowledge the gifts and graces that women bring to the life of the Church. Little could be achieved in parish or diocese without the support and help of women. Women have a particular ability to see a need and to respond, as St. Brigid did, with concern, compassion, and care”.
If you would like to attend, please let myself (07966 581 909) or Christine in the parish office know asap as names must be forwarded by Wednesday 17th July. Hopefully Tullylish will have a great representation of women!
