Today we are saying goodbye to Michael McAllister , but he will never be far from our thoughts.
Michael was the son of the late Joseph and Rosina McAllister.
Michael was born in Banbridge Hospital on the 25th June 1954.
Through Michaels life he lived in Gilford,Banbridge and Lawrencetown.
Michael had only one sibling his brother John.
Michael and his wife Kathleen were together thirty eight years, they were married on the 15th December 1984 in Lawrencetown Chapel.
Michael and Kathleen have three children Laura,Katrina and Michael.
Michael loved all his children very much and was very proud of each and everyone of them in everything they have achieved in their lives so far.
Michael also was a very proud Granda to his three year old grandson Michael.
Michael’s profession was a painter and decorator , we maybe biased but he was one of the best.
Michael had a fantastic talent for writing poetry and had many of them published.
In the later years Michael’s life ill health prevented him from working.
Michael cared for his family while he disregarded his own health.
Michael had a very caring heart especially when it came to his wife, three children and his grandson.
Even though Michael’s own health detoriated he struggled on to care for those who needed him.
Even though Michael had been ill for sometime, his death is still huge shock to all his family.
Michael had suffered from respiratory and heart troubles.
Michael’s eldest Laura also wanted to add one last thing that she will never be able to thank her Daddy for one of the biggest gifts he could have ever gave her. He sent her to Lourdes to be blessed and to receive the help her with her own health issues. This gift from her Daddy will be never forgotten.
We know Michael is at peace now but we all miss him so dearly and he will never be forgotten.
