The Doran family from Gilford recently visited last years Kings Cup winner Dan Campbell (Gilford) as my granda Sean and his brother Felix (Doran Bros) won the cup back in 1966 with their famous pigeon 'Dorana Dewdrop'. The King's Cup is a prestige award in pigeon racing and our family are very proud to have won it. Back in 1966 my dad Nigel, his sister Mary and brother Peter had their photo taken with the cup, we reenacted the photo 46 years later. I have enclosed both photos plus a few others that were taken including Dan, my Grandmother Bridget Doran and uncle Joe Doran who was at school on the day the original photo was taken.  Unfortunately my Grandad has now passed on and we would've loved him to see the cup again but we felt that this was a nice way of commemorating his achievement.
