The article below is from the irish News in June 1956 and refers to a visit to Ireland by two American Nuns. One of the nuns, Sr. Marie de Chantal was baptised Stella Lappin and her father was William Lappin, originally from Gilford and born in 1863.

These are some copies of original Christmas and greeting cards sent between Pat's mother, Kathleen and grandmother. Pat's mother worked in Wood's (now Banville House) and would not have been able to visit home on Christmas or New Year.
