On Thursday 16th June 2016, Mrs. Neeson and the staff of St. Colman's Bann Primary School said farewell to Mrs. Mary O'Faogáin who retired after more than 30 years teaching in the school. It was her wish that no formal retirement function was held, so the staff brought Mary for a meal to the Halfway House and presented her with a Book of Memories, flowers and a gift.
Mary touched so many children (and now adult's) lives in her 30 years of teaching, instilling confidence in the pupils and concentrating on the good old basic values of education. It was a privilege for all those who worked with her and were taught by her.
We wish you a long and happy retirement Mary!
