Farewell Mrs. Derby

On Wednesday 29th February 2012, a Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated in St. John's Church, Gilford to mark the retirement of Mrs. Patricia Derby.

The magnificent choir from St. John's Primary School sang a selection of Mrs. Derby's favourite hymns during the Mass.

Fr. Crossan brought along a little 'packet of words' given to him in Primary One by Mrs. Derby!

One of the words was 'all' and Fr. Crossan spoke about 'all' the gifts Mrs. Derby has brought to St. John's.

Charlie McConville, chair of the Board of Governors, presented Mrs. Derby with a bouquet of flowers.

One of Mrs. Derby's last P1 pupils presented Mrs. Derby with a gift.
