St. Patrick's College World Book Day |
The English department in St. Patrick’s College recently organised a book review competition for Year 8 to celebrate World Book Day 6th March 2014. Literacy is one of the key areas in the school for raising standards and the pupils are encouraged to read as wide a range of material as possible. Years 8-10 have a weekly library period and it was from this choice of books the pupils wrote their reviews. Mrs Mulligan, Head of English, congratulated the students on the high standard of their book reports and commented she is delighted to see that reading remains a pleasure in today’s age of technology.
The lucky recipients of an Easter egg were: Jonathan Norris, Lily Rose Chapman and Oran Hughes.
