Congratulations to St. Patrick's College |
Massive congratulations from Tullylish Parish to St. Patrick's College who have, once again, produced outstanding results. The upward attainment trend at St. Patrick's College in Banbridge has reached new heights with an outstanding set of results at GCSE Level- in fact this has been a record breaking year! for the first time in the College's 60 year history, every single student attained A*-C grades in at least 5 subjects - 100% success, a truly magnificent achievement! Sport and ICT remain very strong subjects with 100% of all grades A*-C. The top performing student this year was Katie Murphy who secured a whopping 4A*s and 6As. College Principal, Mrs Roisin Woods is once again thrilled with the achievements of all students who have attained, and surpassed their personal goals. "I am proud to announce these wonderful GCSE results. They are evidence that St. Patrick's is a thriving school with a staff dedicated to academic excellence. I am, however, well aware that the achievements of our students go way beyond the realms of academia. These results come alongside many extra-curricular accolades achieved by our students in 2016/17. I must take this opportunity to thank all the staff, teaching and support, who are dedicated to ensuring that each individual reaches their full potential. I am grateful too to our learning partners in the Banbridge Area Learning Community with whom we continue to collaborate to provide a range of choices to all our learners. I pay tribute to the parents and carers of our students who support us in everything we do. Parental engagement is a vital ingredient in our recipe for continued success and school improvement. Finally, I salute our Year 12 students who have developed into well-rounded individuals ready to take on the new challenges that lie ahead and I wish them many more successes in the future, whatever their chosen path.
