Tai Chi Class

tai chi

The T.L.C. Group have organised a Tai Chi class in the Den,

starting Monday 6th October from 2.00 - 3.00pm.

Everyone welcome.

Please wear flat shoes and be at the Den at least 10 mins before the start time.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese Art and helps you to gain better health, increased vitality, mental clarity and a calmer spirit.

What is tai chi?

Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements.
Originally developed as a martial art in 13th-century China, tai chi is today practised around the world as a health-promoting exercise.

What are the health benefits of tai chi?

While there's scope for more rigorous studies on tai chi's health benefits, studies have shown that tai chi can help people aged 65 and over to reduce stress, improve balance and general mobility, and increase muscle strength in the legs.

It is suitable for all ages, all shapes and all levels of physical ability.

Mrs. Terry O'Donnell from Gilford is a qualified instructor and has very kindly offered her services.
