On Tuesday 28th February 2012, Desmond Quail enthralled us with his collection of original postcards from the 19th and 20th centuries. The vast majority of the postcards had a local connection and we were privileged to see images of Gilford, Laurencetown not seen before.

A huge thank you to Desmond and we look forward to having him in the Den again in the near future.




Desmond brought his original school bag that he used to carry to the 'Bosco'. He also had his original school book with all the names of his school pals in 1954.
