Hi Catherine
Just responding to a post on your site.
I'm researching my own family, and know my great great grandfather married Mary Jane McDowell in Ballydown Presbyterian Church, the records I have are:
Record Type Civil Marriage
Date of Marriage 17 Mar 1884
Groom Name samuel HUDSON
Bride Name mary jane MCDOWELL
Church Ballydown Presbyterian Church
Parish Seapatrick
Civil District Banbridge County Down
May be a distant relative. THe sponsors at the marriage were James Trimble and Catherine McDowell.
Incidentally, I'm trying to locate the birth certificate of Samuel to prove my hypothesis that his parents were John Hudson and Hannah White of Loughbrickland.
If anyone has any information on this I'd love to be put in touch with them.
Kind regards
Andrew
