Congratulations to Clodagh McComiskey on winning the recent All Ireland Boxing Championship in Dublin .
Clodagh is, at present, the only girl from Down/Armagh to do so.
Congratulations also to Shannon and Sinead Owens for winning a silver medal

Bernard McComiskey, Michael McPolin and Sean Duffy present Fr. Gerry Powell with £1000.00 towards Parish Funds.



Six local charities have benefited to the tune of £6,000 following a fantastic charity Boxing tournament in the Belmont Hotel last Friday.

The sell-out event organised by Gilford Boxing Club Members, attracted 500 people as representatives from local sporting clubs stepping into the squared circle.

The Make A Wish Fund; PIPS, Newry; Duchenne; Newry Gateway Club; PEAT and the Breast Cancer Unit at Craigavon Area Hospital received a cheque following the event.

The night was the idea of Gilford Coach,
Bernard McComiskey and Michael McPolin.
