Clare audition
by Colum McGarry from Lawrencetown
22. November 2009
Throughout the years it has been a well known fact that being an organist in the Clare is a high, prestigious position, 2nd from St. Peter's, Rome, Catherine, you have told me this. I have practiced day and night, I've went for endless auditions, its would of course, been easier to go for the X factor. Being accompanist tonight for the Parish concert in Banbridge, I wonder if Catherine, you would reconsider and make allowances for me, as the honorary organist position in the Clare has been vacant for a while now, I wonder if I have a hope in fulfilling my career that I so ardently desire? As you are the 'Queen' of (the silver dollar) music, I would ask you to be understanding. Thank you!
Comment:
Sorry I hadn't read this before the concert, Colum. I must say, there is an improvement - slight, but an improvement! C.

Brendan Kennedy
by Marsha O'Loughlin from Denton, Texas
23. October 2009
Catherine, I read Brendan's Obit and was real sorry to hear that he passed. I have very nice memories of Brendan (and Tommy Johnston) I remember he was always standing out by his door when I would pass on the way home from Craigavon Primary on Castle Hill, he would be standing there with Tommy Johnston (SENIOR). Please tell his family I remember him very well as I do some of the other people I see on your web site Marsha
Comment:
Hi Marsha, Good to hear from you. Brendan's family will be pleased to see your message. Catherine
Harvest Thanksgiving
by Bonnie Brennan from Athboy, Co. Meath
17. October 2009
I have just viewed the pictures of the decorated church at Laurencetown, for Mission Sunday 2009, with the theme of Harvest Thanksgiving. The scenes are so professional that they would make great postcards to send to distant parishioners (who may not have access to your website). The pictures would also make a valuable contribution to the 'Intercom' publication next year to give people some new ideas for honouring our bountiful God at this time of year. Keep up the good work - most impressive!
Comment:
Thanks Bonnie for your supportive comments. This year's Harvest Display has been very popular.

by Ruth McBurney from Gilford
01. September 2009
Hi Catherine I love the website I find it very informative and always interesting The reason I'm writing to you is to enquire if I could get in touch with Nan Thompsen Denmark, she has emailed your page in the past Nan and I lived near other when our children were all just babies. We lived in number one Connors Row Gilford, and Nan and her family lived in number three. Maybe she will be interested in catching up with the years via e.mail. I'll leave this query in your capable hands. Best wishes and kind regards Ruth McBurney Gilford.
