Hi Catherine and anyone else involved with this website you are doing a fantastic job I just love it. It is great seeing all the photos and keeping up with what is happening around the Parish.Tell Marie Campbell and Kathleen McAvoy they are looking really well. My sister Rita and I log in all the time to see what is happening. I loved the old photos of Gilford and seeing my mum & dad in the Gilford Hall photos, I even found myself in the School photo. Keep up the good work you are making a lot of expats very happy

24. June 2009
Loved the photos of the TLC ladies in Sperrinview, everyone looked as if they were having a great time. Now when are they going to come and visit Oakwood in Belfast???
Comment:
They'll have to check their diaries - but any excuse for these ladies and they're away!!!
ballydougan hall
by Gerry o'Dowd from Aghagallon
22. June 2009
Sad to see the sorry state of Ballydougan hall.In the sixties I was one of the many lads from the area who was "shanghaied" by Tommy Moore & Co. to paint the hall and get it ready for masses while the chapel was being renovated. I can still see it .top half white, bottom half green. Afterwards it was turned into a youth club where many a romance blossomed
Comment:
Yes Gerry, We have many happy memories of Ballydougan Hall and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it last week in the sorry state that it is. But at least we have the memories.

Dear Catherine, I really loved the section on the Tullylish G.F.C.'s 125th Anniversary, especially the pictures of folk I knew in the Parish. Some of these guys I knew personally, Paddy MacFlynn; Plunkett Campbell ( playing the spoons fame) Pat McEvoy; Greg McCartan; Cathleen Cunningham, to name but a few. and the McCartan bros.( famous Down players in the sixties.) My memory is still sharp.I had the privilege to sit INSIDE the Sam Maguire!!! in 1961, many moons ago. I would like to get in contact with these guys by e-mail or TXT ,so you have my permission to disclose my e-mail address. Could you also put these pictures of me and my Italian work-mate on the website. Thanks in anticipation. Regards, . That's great news Agnes. The T.L.C. Group meet every Tuesday from 10.30 - 12.00 Noon, so hopefully we'll see you on the 26th. If that doesn't suit and you want to come to see the work before that, let me know.

Dear Catherine I'm really supposed to be working but got hooked browsing the Tullylish website so now I also take the opportunity to tell you all how wonderful the website is – it brings me back into the heart of the parish and animates you all so I do not feel so very far away. Great to read everybody else’s comments. Keep up the great work!!!! Sr Bernadette
Comment:
Thanks Sr. B. You are never far from any of our thoughts and I am going to show your photos and DVD to the TLC Group on Tuesday morning. So, if you feel your left ear burning on Tuesday, it is because of all the love heading to South Africa from the T.L.C.'s Take care and love to all the EDUCATION4LIFE team. Catherine

Have spent hours trawling your wonderful site, Mary warned me of the Tullylish Ladies photo, gosh did I really look like that? Do you remember when we made our confirmation and you, Mary O'Dowd and I were chosen to go up to meet the Bishop? I remember your mother RIP whispering to my mum that "they knew the ones to pick". Hope you are well and thanks again for a super site.
Comment:
Hi Pauline Good to hear from you. I had forgotten about the 'meeting and greeting of the Bishop.! I don't think anyone would be picking us now!
